During the year I meet with other writers for a Newbery Reading Club to read and discuss Newbery Award books. We eat, share about the book, critique, share about our current projects, cheer and encourage each other on this wonderful writing journey.
Twice a year I go on a retreat. I learned this from the Master. Everyone needs time alone to be silent. I pray, walk, sit on a front porch and think. Then I write, write, and write some more. Oh, and I eat chocolate and drink coffee.
Meeting at my favorite library with my writing critique partner to work on our stories and visiting with the library staff, are essential to my writing excitement and completing my writing goals.
Currently teaching during the school year, in a homeschool co-op
every Monday in Monroe, Mi.
Stay tuned for future public author events!
